Welcome to MAKESHOP!
MAKESHOP is a space for hands-on building and tinkering with old and new technologies, exciting projects and cutting-edge media. Here you can play around with ideas, make things together and mess around with tools, materials and techniques. Investigate how things work, discover how things are used, and learn new processes and skills.
Every day is different, and we're always trying new things! Do something new each time you visit, whether it's using a saw for the first time, pushing your sewing skills further or experimenting with a programming language to see how it works, our Teaching Artists and Educators are here to help you get started and want to know what you think.
Check out the blog for cool projects we've been working on, or take a look at the events page to find out sorts of things we get up to. Want emails right in your inbox? Join our mailing list for special events, or our educator mailing list for professional development opportunities. Have suggestions of things we should try? Something we should add to the website? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
MAKESHOP is located at Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. It's a space for exploring, creating and tinkering through hands-on experiences.
