We’ve been bringing in talented guest makers over the past few months to fulfill our promise for MakeShop to be a place where YOU can “make alongside some of the coolest indie crafters, hackers and inventors in the city”. In case you missed them, here are some of our recent guests:
Jen Primack of Upcycled Designs created headbands, wallets and more with visitors and showed off her incredible line of wearables made from used clothing during SewShop in late May and early June.
Andy Scott of Little Tired Press created a collaborative accordion book with visitors on June 25. “Communibook” was a prototype for our upcoming PaperShop and will be exhibited in the MakeShop next month.
The Schmutz Company and visitors created stop motion animations with charcoal drawings during their monthly AnimationShop on June 12.
Stay tuned for more guest makers stopping in to the MakeShop in the weeks and months ahead. Send us your suggestions if YOU know a maker who would be a great demonstrator or educator of old or new methods of making things.
