August 12 from 1:00-4:30
The Solar Sewing Rover is a portable sewing machine table powered by a solar panel or a bicycle electric generator, built and operated by artist Paul Nosa, of Tucson, AZ. With the ability to sew designs at any time and any location, he began traveling around, asking people to give him scenarios, using five-words-or-less. It has become his mission to help people use their creativity, provide a tangible patch of their ideas, and teach them how to build alternative energy sources. On August 12th, meet Paul in the MakeShop, give him five-words-or-less, and watch as he draws a patch just for you with his invention. To learn more, click here.
“It is my firm belief that all of life’s questions can be answered with a sewing machine. – P. Nosa
