Community Highlight: Planet Parade

What is it like to be Jupiter or Mars?
What is it like to be a planet that only has a number for a name?
Only your vision creates the cosmos as you design your own Extrasolar planet.

Join Assemble to make a Planet Parade so that together we re-imagine the stars! We will learn about both living and nonliving systems, as we make, break, and remake our worlds. Using DIY electronics, e-textiles, recycled materials, wonder and imagination, you can design your own planet and bring your ideas out of this world.

This will be a course of two workshops on July 9th and 10th from 2-5pm. This is for ages 6-13. Bring friends! Snacks provided!

This is only $5! Scholarships available!Sign up on line or just show up!

Present your work at the Planet Party on July 11 from 4:30-7:30 and at the Mini Maker Faire on September 22 at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

This project was generously funded by  The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Grable Foundation with support from The Sprout Fund as a part of the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s MAKESHOP Maker Micro Grant program. For more information, visit the website.
