Are you 18-22 years old and interested in maker culture? Do you know a young adult who loves to tinker and enjoys working with children? We’re excited to announce a great new opportunity for this summer!
MAKESHOP at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is partnering with the Maker Education Initiative, a program linked to MAKE Magazine, to launch the Maker Corps program this spring. This program will address the need for personalized support and expertise in introducing maker-oriented experiences in educational programs across the country.
We are recruiting potential Maker Corps members that will serve as MAKESHOP facilitators and mentors for our visitors and youth programs. Maker Corps members will be employed by Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh for the summer of 2013 to engage children and families in creative projects, while gaining experience serving as a community leader and museum professional.
