Recently Paul, a former educator at the Museum, came back to visit for a day. Paul moved to Boston right before MAKESHOP officially opened. He was around for the prototyping of MAKESHOP and was pivotal in its inception several years ago. At some point during his time at the Museum Paul started working on a DIY guitar. While he was visiting with me a couple of weeks ago the two of us discovered the guitar in our basement storage space. It turns out that Paul never quite finished the project.
We took the guitar back upstairs to MAKESHOP to work on adding the finishing touches. We added an audio jack so that the guitar could be hooked up to an amplifier. The newly electric guitar worked fantastically.
It was great having Paul back for the day at the Museum. It was a lot of fun hanging out with him again. Working on the guitar brought back a lot of fond memories of our past times at the Museum.
